- With all the rain and odd temperatures, our paddocks are a giant mud hole. I had a colic scare as my horse went down in the thick deep mud about 3 times. When we got him up and out, he was absolutely COVERED in thick nasty mud. We couldn't hose him and a sweat scrapper just smeared it. I got these for Christmas and decided to try them. THEY WORKED GREAT!! They fit very nicely and did not slip around when I applied pressure. They especially worked great around his legs and his face. I used a stiff brush over the gloves to loosen any hair and mud out of the teeth and rinsed them off - they look brand new again. These are a MUST HAVE in the grooming box!!!
